It was mentioned in the Seerah that once Sayyidna Abu Bakr came to the house of the Lady Ayisha on the day of `Id-ul-Fitr or `Id ul Adha while the Prophet (ﷺ) was with her, and there were two girl singers with her, singing songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said twice. “Musical instrument of Satan!” But the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an `Id (i.e. festival) and this day is our `Id.”. Allah blessed us with this beautiful day, recommended that we celebrate it and show happiness and pleasure. Also, it signifies the completion of fasting month of Ramadan.
In the day of Eid, men and women should wear beautiful clothes, and get ready to do the prayer of Eid. It takes place in the early morning (after Fajr) on the first day of Eid .The Takpeer (saying Allah Akbir) starts from fajr until the imam comes out for salah (and it is only for Eidu Al-fitr). After prayer, Muslims greet each other, and send good wishes to everyone. Smiles, laughs, and sweets should be everywhere. Also, it is recommended that Muslims visit each other as a manifestation of kinship ties. Muslims are gathered from different communities and backgrounds to show our faith and devotion in front of everyone. Kids are repeating Takpeerat happily and waiting for Salat Al-Eid. This day is mostly known for its Eid prayer and Takpeerat.
Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great
There is no God but Allah
Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great
To Him belongs all Praise
Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great
And Praise is to Allah, abundantly
And Glory is to Allah
At the break of day and at its end
There is no God but Allah
He has fulfilled His Promise
And made Victorious His servant
And made Mighty His soldiers
And defeated the confederates
There is no God, But Allah
He alone we worship
With sincere and exclusive devotion
Even though the idolaters hate it
O Allah, have Mercy on our Prophet Muhammad
And on the family of our Prophet Muhammad
And on the companions of our Prophet Muhammad
And on the helpers of our Prophet Muhammad
And on the wives of our Prophet Muhammad
And on the progeny of our Prophet Muhammad
And Bestow upon them much peace.
Finally, may Allah accept our good deeds that we did in the month of Ramadan, forgive our faults, and may we never abandon the good deeds that we practiced in the month of Ramadan. Ya Allah this is our Eid, may the blessings of You be with us on this Eid. May Allah shower our hearts, minds, and families with blessings, happiness, and pleasure. May this special day bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to our Islamic nation, Ameen.
